Tirthankar is a budding economist, formerly at Cambridge university, whom I have convinced (bamboozled?) into writing on this blog. He has done some interesting research in econometric modelling, and macro economics. He is, in addition to being a very close friend of mine, an avid cricketer, philosopher, and aficionado of cheezy 70's music and girl bands.
